WINGS is a global network of organizations that support philanthropy headquartered in Sao Paulo, Brazil. With around 100 members from 40 countries, WINGS contributes to strengthening, promoting and providing leadership on the development of philanthropy and social investment around the world.
Membership & Communications Assistant
Programs and Network Coordinator
This position works under the supervision of the Programs & Network Coordinator and supports their work in growing and managing the WINGS Network, its programs, and communications.
Supports membership activities including new membership onboarding, membership research, CRM maintenance, creation of relevant communications for members, and other tasks related to developing the WINGS Network.
Help implement communications strategies for all of WINGS communications channels (site, social media, CRM, …) and aid in developing content to strengthen the way the organization communicates with a range of different international stakeholders including but not limited to: international foundations, experts and researchers in the field of philanthropy, global civil society networks, multilateral organizations.
Engage with network programs as needed with administrative support.
TASKS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Onboard new members;
Manage invoices and coordinate payments with Administrative Coordinator;
Research and recommendation of new members;
Email communication drafting;
Promote member engagement;
Maintain Membership Database and coordinate member profiles;
Prepare reports on membership status.
Design relevant institutional communications materials;
Draft newsletter layout and consolidate newsletter items;
Help develop stories and news for the website collected from staff and from WINGS network, and post regular updates as requested: WINGS current activities (i.e.: webinars, meetings, launch of reports).
Organize WINGS blog: elaborate and edit content (interviews, profiles, articles, …) based on WINGS staff and network contributions under the supervision and guidance of the programs coordinator;
Find relevant news stories for each of WINGS social media and customize written and visual contents.
Monitor international media and specialized philanthropy media as well as WINGS’ network communications to keep abreast of relevant stories and trends in the field of philanthropy.
Create and monitor internal analytical reporting system (Google analytics, collect data, etc.).
Provide administrative support to network programs;
Create and see-through meeting planning- Doodle, Webex, Note taking;
Support and administrate affinity group; Plan and coordinate logistics for meetings, events, conferences; and Provide general support to WINGS operations as needed.
This is an entry-Level position. The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience (internships will be considered) in programs, communications, media, network management, non-profit, international relations, or a related field; Fluent in English; Strong communication skills (oral, written, interpersonal); Strong organization skills Global mindset: openness to and awareness of cultural and geographic diversity; Self-motivated with strong ability to manage multiple tasks; Proficiency in the use of computers, database systems, website maintenance, and the latest information technology and social media; Self-motivated and proactive; International work experience is an asset; Experience in managing social media tools and content; Creative, flexible, adaptable and autonomous.
