Interview with Avila Kilmurray, Author of ‘Funding In Conflict-Affected Environments’

WINGS interviewed Dr Avila Kilmurray, author of new report ‘Funding in Conflict-Affected Environments‘. We are living in an increasingly fragile world witnessing the rise of intolerance and hate, right-wing populism and authoritarian trends everywhere. Conflicts within nation-states are on the rise. It is, therefore, imperative upon philanthropy to examine its role and be placed to have maximum positive impact. The State of Venture Philanthropy and Social Investment (VP/SI) in Europe

The European Venture Philanthropy Association have published a new report, funded by The European Commission. The report is the result of EVPA’s fifth annual survey of European Venture Philanthropy and Social Investment (“VP/SI”). The purpose of the report is to provide independent industry statistics to raise awareness about European VP/SI and attract additional resources to the sector. The report features five years of data which has allowed the EVPA to analyse interesting trends and evolutions in the VP/SI sector.
