Thanks to a number of the Summit’s supporters, including theAga Khan Development Network, Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, Ford Foundation, Open Society Initiative for Europe and Rockefeller Brothers Fund, funds have been made available to widen and diversify participation to the Summit through a travel grants programme.
Travel grants may cover flights, accommodation and visa costs, or a combination thereof. Travel insurance and a stipend will be included in all travel grants, though all participants will be asked to cover the registration fee ($200 before 1st September, $250 after). Applicants should also be mindful that travel grant funds are limited and that the aim of the programme is to widen participation as much as possible with the funds available. As such, when completing the form below, please only apply for the funds that you truly require, and which would facilitate your participation to the Summit.
The deadline to apply is Friday 15th July 2016, with all applicants being notified of funding decisions before the end of July. Due to the limited amount of funding, not all applicants will receive support. Travel grants will be awarded as funds allow based on: geographic and organizational diversity at the Summit; and, an applicant’s commitment to the field of community philanthropy and plans to share learnings from the Summit. The Institute of International Education (IIE) will work with successful applicants around their travel to the Summit.
