A Fond Farewell to Ana Paula Pinho
Our Knowledge Management Coordinator, Ana Paula Pinho, will be leaving her role with WINGS as of April 27. She has decided to concentrate her attention on studying for her PhD. In her 4 ½ years with us, Ana has made a very good contribution to our network, as well as being a pleasure to work with. Ana says that she enjoyed her time at WINGS and working with members and partners has been an enriching experience for her. We appreciate the dedication she put into her work and wish her success with her studies!

European Community Foundation Initiative
The European Community Foundation Initiative (ECFI) was launched in January 2016. As an umbrella initiative for community foundations, it will be active throughout Europe, working to consolidate the loose network of European community foundations. Among their key goals is to build a network of community foundation support organizations in Europe and encourage the launch of such organizations. Find out more here.
Peace & Security Funding Index
The Peace & Security Funding Index: An Analysis of Global Foundation Grantmaking is a first-of-its-kind research project that showcases the foundations and philanthropists dedicated to building a safer, more peaceful and prosperous global future.The Peace and Security Funders Group (PSFG) and Foundation Center created the Index to help funders, policymakers, and the general public better understand the peace and security funding landscape.

WINGS’ Session at the AVPN Conference: Trends on Philanthropy (Asia vs. Rest of the World)

This session will present the work of organizations in different parts of the world collecting and using data for better philanthropic outcomes, and will showcase a framework to help organizations deal with common data collection issues and challenges.
