Exchange on what kind of leadership is required to develop real partnerships with grantees and investees; to create a culture of transparency on objectives and impact and to balance social and financial returns – overall: what leadership is required in our sector from EVPA and its constituency?
The Annual Conference will further provide many learning opportunities for you – whether you are new to the topic of venture philanthropy and social investment or you already have a lot of experience. In addition to 4 plenary sessions, you can choose between 23 different workshops on Day 2. These will be divided into three streams: Tricks of the Trade; Best Practice; and Building the Market.
Additionally, we are delighted to welcome two inspiring keynote speakers this year:
- Olivia Leland, Director at Giving Pledge, an effort founded by Bill and Melinda Gates and Warren Buffett to help address society’s most pressing problems by encouraging billionaires to commit the majority of their wealth to philanthropy.
- Rodrigo Jordan, a social entrepreneur and a renowned mountaineer from Chile. He is an expert on the topic of leadership, offering seminars and even hosting “Leadership in Person,” a TV show interviewing Chile’s most important leaders.
The event will also offer many networking opportunities for all participants. In addition to networking lunches and breaks, an online platform will allow participants to find who else is coming to Geneva, search by sector focus and interest and connect beforehand.
Already in its 9th year, the EVPA Annual Conference is the leading event in the sector, attracting around 400 delegates annually. It brings together players from a variety of sectors, such as VP and social investment funds, foundations, PE/VC firms, donors, advisory firms, banks, academics and some selected social entrepreneurs.
The Conference is generously supported by WISE – Philanthropy Advisors and Swiss Philanthropy Foundation.
