On Friday 27 September, WINGS will join the United Nations Development Programme, the Ford Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, OECD netFWD and the European Foundation Centre in a conversation on how civil society and foundations can influence the next global development agenda and spur coordinated action to advance new goals.
2015 marks the deadline for achieving the United Nations Millennium Development Goals, a global effort to fulfill the rights of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people. It’s time to look beyond that deadline. As the United Nations and world leaders plan the next generation of priorities, how can foundations, civil society and other stakeholders work together to help shape the collective vision that will guide the process and ensure meaningful change?
A portion of the event, hosted by the Ford Foundation in New York, will be available via live stream. Follow the conversation on Twitter with #phil2015, and watch this space for updates!
