The Southern Africa Trust is an independent regional-level agency that works across 18 countries in Africa. It supports deeper and wider policy engagement between state and non-state actors to change the systems that keep people in poverty. It does this through grantmaking as well as operational programmes, technical support, convening, and brokering new relationships between interest groups.

The Trust is looking to appoint a dynamic, skilled, knowledgeable, experienced, well networked, and naturally talented deputy executive director with highly developed and proven strategic acumen to take executive responsibility for a large part of the Trust’s grantmaking, programme, operations, organizational representation, and other high level functions.
